Hattersley recently introduced their new range of WRAS approved public health valves whilst exhibiting at the “Combating Legionella and Water Treatment” conference in Birmingham.
Product Manager, Graham Pink, gave a presentation on the new range of valves, with a particular focus on the Thermal Circulation Valves (TCVs), the prevention of Legionnaires Disease in public buildings and the importance of being L8 HSE compliant. The new TCV is designed for installation in Hot Water Service Returns for thermal balancing. By using a TCV to maintain flow of water at a high temperature, the risk of Legionella growth is significantly reduced.
In addition to the TCV, the new range Public Health Valves also includes: Pressure Reducing Valves, Check Valves, Non-Return Valves and Butterfly Balancing Valves, Strainers, Thermostatic Mixing Valves and Service Ball Valves. The new range is designed for hot and cold water systems, and the valves are available in multiple sizes and in pressure ratings from PN10 to PN25.
