VARIABLE FLOW

As everyone becomes more aware of the possible effects of global warming, the issues of reductions in energy use and greater system efficiency should be uppermost in the engineers mind.

In response to the desire to reduce energy use whilst increasing system efficiency, HVAC system design has changed from constant flow to variable flow. This design change allows for variable speed pumps to be used, leading to dramatic energy savings and increased environmental space control.

To allow these systems to operate efficiently, Differential Pressure Control Valves (DPCVs) or Pressure Independent Control Valves (PICVs) need to be installed to control the fluctuating system pressures caused by the constantly changing water volumes as demand changes, resulting in changes to the pump speed.

A well designed system with Hattersley DPCVs and/or PICVs strategically positioned, offers building occupants a better working environment at the same time as giving the owner greatly reduced energy bills.

The Hook-Up Prime Flow Management System is a pre-fabricated unit combining the essential control components and connecting pipework associated with terminal units, into one compact, fully assembled and tested unit ready for simple and fast on-site connection.

THE NEW AND IMPROVED 40MM H-BODY

The H-Body flushing by-pass arrangement is the cornerstone of each assembly, a variety of valves are then connected on the flow and return sides of the H-Body to suit the specification. The H-Body unit comprising two T-Port ball valves.
